Game 1 went to the Friars as Randy Wolf threw 6 2/3's no hit innings, and the bullpen came in to complete the 6-0 shutout, and secure Wolf's first win of the season. The Padres bat suddenly came alive in the 5th inning when Giles, Kouzmanoff & Edmonds all pounded out doubles on their way to putting up all 6 runs scored in the game.

Well Peavy struck out 11, walked 2, and threw 8 inning shutout innings, but was matched in just about ever way by the Rockies starter and bullpen. Sadly Peavy will not figure into this decision regardless of the outcome now.
-22 innings
-6.5 hours
-Longest game in Padre history
-The only guy left available for the Padres was Cla Meredith
